FANS favourite Kieran Thomas has announced that he won’t be playing for Hereford FC next season and has signed for Weston-super-Mare.

The former Gloucester City captain has spent the last two season playing for the Bulls in defence and midfield roles.

However, in a Twitter statement, he declared that he wouldn’t be playing for Hereford next season.

He said: “I would like to take this opportunity to partially announce my plans for the next season.

“I will no longer be a player at Hereford FC, nevertheless, I would just like to thank the club for everything they have done for me. I would also like to take this time to say a special thanks to all the fans, as it is you guys who made my decision far harder.

“To try and give some explanation, the fact that football is not my only means of work meant that the decision of where I play next season had to be seriously taken into account and this is the result.

“I do however, wish everyone at Hereford FC the very best for the future.”

Thomas made 28 appearances for the Bulls last season, starting 23 times and scoring one goal.

Bulls interim manager Josh Gowling said that he was really dissapointed to lose a player he wanted to keep.

Meanwhile, Bradley Ash has signed for Chippenham Town for the coming season.

Forward Ash made 20 appearances for the Bulls last season, making 11 starts and scoring just once.
