HEREFORD United Supporters’ Trust have donated £10,000 towards their share purchase of Hereford FC.

While action on the pitch has been suspended the Supporters’ Trust (HUST) have continued their fundraising initiatives including their weekly lottery on a Monday, the online 50/50 Covid19 weekly draws, Prize Bull 500 club and ‘Keep the Bulls Flying’ fundraising initiatives.

“I’m extremely thankful to HUST for this sizeable donation to club funds," Hereford chairman Andrew Graham told the club’s website.

“The donation will go towards the purchase of more shares for the Supporters Trust, and comes at a crucial time for this football club.

“I have been really encouraged by the fantastic support of Hereford fans over the past days and weeks, and this latest donation from HUST is a prime example of everyone pulling together to make sure that this wonderful club of ours can get through these unprecedented and extremely difficult times.”

The latest donation takes the total amount of shares purchased by HUST to 220,000 of their 289,000 to make 43 per cent of their 50 per cent of the club.

Joanie Roberts, one of the HUST directors said: “Despite action being suspended at the present time the reaction of Bulls fans over the weekend was outstanding.

“Fans took part in the online 50/50 matchday draw despite their being no physical game which keep our fundraising for the club going.

“Many clubs will not be as lucky as us to have such level of support and all the donations now will help to give our club the best possible chance of success once action does resume.

“Keep the Bulls Flying, while supporting each other and help us all stick together at this difficult time so we can come out the other side stronger as a club and a close-knit community.”
