HEREFORDSHIRE Cricket Ltd is recruiting for four new posts ahead of the new season.
The sport’s governing body in the county is seeking to fill the roles of pathway officer, pathway administrator, clubs' and schools' officer, and women and girls' officer.
The pathway officer is a full-time role and is an extension and development of the job currently carried out by Richard Skyrme on a part-time basis.
It will involve being the head coach of Herefordshire County Cricket Club’s National Counties side and their development side.
But the wide-ranging role will also involve overseeing the age-group cricket programme in the county, as well liaising with Gloucestershire CCC and Worcestershire CCC on player development and leading on coach education in Herefordshire.
The pathway administrator role is part-time for 15 hours a week and will involve administering the county’s age-group sides and providing assistance for coaching administration, as well as collating county sides’ results and posting these on the Play Cricket website.
The schools' and clubs' officer, which is a full-time role, will be the focal point for all recreational cricket in the county and will be responsible for growing participation.
The officer will be responsible for promoting the Chance to Shine, All Stars and Dynamos cricket programmes to schools and embedding the HCL cricket programme within schools.
The women and girls' officer is a part-time role for 20 hours a week and will be responsible for growing female cricket in the county at all ages and making the sport more accessible to them.
Full details of all of the jobs are available on the Herefordshire Cricket Ltd website – herefordshirecricket.co.uk – and applications must be in by March 23.
Herefordshire Cricket has made the decision to halt all cricket related activity up until after Easter.
This includes county age group sessions for boys and girls, foundation one course and HCCC squad sessions, courses and workshops.
A statement said: "Herefordshire Cricket has the community and the clubs at its core and therefore would advice that they take appropriate action over the coming weeks.
"The board are recommending that all clubs cease any pre-season activity, as no doubt facilities will closing to the public.
"We will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis."
