LAUREN Brown scored a brace as Hereford FC Women continued their push for the Midwest Counties Female League title with a 2-1 victory over Wyre Forest Phoenix Ladies.

The win drew the Bulls within 10 points of leaders Hereford Lads Club Ladies with two games in hand and the sides due to meet on the last day of the season.

In the Herefordshire County League a first win of the season for Bartestree saw them overcome Ledbury Town 4-2.

Jon Richards, Neil Slade, James Watkins and Youssef Maklout all found the net in a morale boosting victory.

Kington increased pressure in the title race with a 5-0 victory at Fownhope with Charlie Beaumont, Callum Craddock, Ryan Newton, Tom James and Lucas Gwillim all finding the net.

Reigning champions and current leaders Clee Hill United were held 1-1 by Hereford Pegasus thanks to a goal from Kieron Slatter for the visitors.

Elsewhere, goals from Bradley Matthews and Harry Meadmore gave Hinton a 2-1 victory over Shobdon, with William Bowen netting in reply.

In the Ross Cup quarter-final a brace from Tyler Davies secured Dore Valley a passage into the next round following a 2-0 win over Civil Service.

Meanwhile, Ledbury Town Reserves also remain in the competition following a 5-1 win over Holme Lacy Reserves with Joshua Tomkins, Lewis Williams, Josh Burns, Kieran

Chambers and Darren Minett all scoring.

In Division One, a brace from Jamie Davies helped Leominster Town to a 3-2 victory over Ross Juniors with Tristan Stocker scoring the other.
