HEREFORD Women's Development side clinched a memorable victory in the Lin Mathias Cup as part of International Women’s Day.
The Edgar Street tournament saw sides from across the county compete in the Edgar Street 'League of Our Own' event.
The tournament especially recognised the munitions factory workers of Rotherwas during the first and second World War.
On Christmas Day 1917, two women’s teams from the city's munitions factories took to the Hereford football pitch for a match which attracted a good crowd.
They raised huge amounts of money for the war effort and the local soldiers fighting miles away from home.
