HEREFORD FC have signed 25-year-old forward Demetri Brown from non-league step five side Worcester City.

The forward who can play ‘anywhere in attack’ has netted 13 goals in 28 starts for Worcester this season.

Last season Brown scored 32 in 37 appearances for Tividale during their West Midlands League Premier Division title winning season.

“He’s scored a lot of goals in his career so far, he’s strong, powerful and rapid,” interim Hereford manager Josh Gowling told the club’s website.

“He can play anywhere in attack whether that’s down the middle or a bit wider, so he gives us options and a bit of flexibility.

“He’s a hard worker and has ambitions to play at a higher level. His attitude has really impressed me. When I first met with him the talk wasn’t about how much he’d get paid or how long the deal would be, but about his desire to do well, that he wants to improve and that he wants to kick-on in his career. Speaking to him was a breath of fresh air really.

“He’s a good age, he’s relatively young but at the same time, he’s got enough experience behind him to use to his advantage. He’s hungry and really keen to learn. I think that he’s a great fit for us here.”
