PENYBONT United remain unbeaten at the top of the Herefordshire Women's Development League after four matches.

Last weekend they overcame Belmont Wanderers 3-1 following a 6-1 win over Hay St Mary's the previous week.

Also unbeaten this season are Lads Club Ladies who continued their march towards the Midwest Counties Female League crown with a 1-1 draw against Cookley Sports Ladies Development.

Substitute Courtney Bowkett netted the Hereford side's only goal as they sit 14 points clear at the top.

The Bulls opened their account after six minutes with Katie Young breaking clear and beating the goalkeeper.

Lauren Brown then capitalised on a defensive mistake to score her first of four goals after 15 minutes.

Sophie Elcox-Bond was also in on the scoring action eight minutes later before skipper Ana Moreira made it four with just 25 minutes played.

Elcox-Bond netted her second before turning provider for Brown to make it 6-0 on 36 minutes.

The Bulls were also relentless during the second half with Brown completing her hat-trick moments after the re-start.

Brown netted her fourth on the hour before a late flurry of goals by Ana VareLa, Megan Holman, Bethany Cole and Young completed the scoring.
