HEREFORD fans are tipping Stephen Dawson to become a player/coach at the club following the resignation of previous first team Andy Whing.
Dawson is currently in discussions with the club after seeing his initial playing deal come to an end earlier this month.
The 34-year-old, former Bury captain, missed Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bradford (Park Avenue) due to illness.
In a statement Hereford FC said: "News on a replacement coach will be confirmed as soon as possible."
Reacting to the news that Whing has resigned from his first team coaching role today fans said:
"Slade will appoint Dawson as his replacement to keep him at the club!"
If this gets Dawson as player coach then a shrewd move
