HEREFORD are currently in talks with midfielder Stephen Dawson about extending his stay at the club.

The 34-year-old has been with the Bulls since October and has impressed during his time with the club.

However, his deal has now come to an end and the Bulls would like him to extend his stay.

Dawson was missing from Hereford’s side during their 1-1 draw with Bradford (Park Avenue) due to suffering with the flu.

“We are working on Steve and would like Steve to be here. I’m sure there is a lot of competition for his signature right now but talks are ongoing.,” said Hereford manager Russell Slade.

The Bulls are also in talks with forward Macclesfield Town loanee Peter Vincenti about his stay with the club being prolonged.

When asked about additional players joining his squad, Slade added: “We need to establish what we’ve got in terms of money what we’ve got available to add to the group. I think the time is to build now and not just for the summer, that’s got to be an ongoing process.”
