SHOBDON darts player Jim Williams will bid to become British Darts Organisation (BDO) World Champion this weekend.
Williams who has been beaten by the eventual winner in the last two years is number two seed for the tournament.
The winner of the last two years Glen Durrant is not competing in this year's tournament after moving up to the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) circuit.
Williams, aged 35, is due to play his third round match this afternoon (session starting at 1pm) against 15th seed Ryan Hogarth with the winner earning a spot in tomorrow's quarter-final.
The match will be shown on freeview channel Quest and Eurosport.
Williams will be hoping to find his form after being pushed in the second round by Gary Stone, eventually winning 3-2 in the best of five sets match.
The tournament semi-finals take place on Saturday and final on Sunday.
