GREYHOUND finished 2019 with a convincing 36-5 home victory over Dixonians.

George Gwynn, Cody Foster, Owen Jenkins, James Doyle, James Pardoe and Oli Paton were all points scorers in the convincing win.

Meanwhile, Ledbury picked up their sixth win from 11 matches when they beat Woodrush 35-11.

After a heavy defeat the previous week the hosts were looking for a response.

That came immediately with Matt Hallett making valuable ground before George Bennion made a huge accurate pass from which Ryan Brown was ultimately able score in the corner.

Ledbury continued their offensive at the breakdowns and Bennion increased the lead with a well struck penalty.

A speculative kick resulted in a second try for the hosts as Hallett crossed the whitewash.

Minutes later a scrabble on the Woodrush line resulted in yet another try.

Woodrush were relieved to be rewarded with a forwards try just before half-time, taking the score to 22-8 at the turnaround.

Ledbury continued to attack with a vengeance and a gap opened up for Jamie Rayfield to take a fine try, converted by Bennion.

Heavy drizzle was now affecting play and Woodrush were unable to create a sustained response.

Ultimately Ledbury signed off with a further score, when from a five-metre scrummage Dan Smith deftly off-loaded to Chris Simcock who got the score he had been hunting down all afternoon.
