ANDY Edey celebrated a successful season at Kington Golf Club which saw him collect five trophies.

Edey was the victor in the Winter Eclectic, George Farr Cup, White Medal Accumulator, Singles Knockout and Born too Soon Knockout.

Other prize winners were: Ted Davies (Winter League Accumulator), Sam Hinton (Summer League Accumulator), Steve Hallam (Summer Eclectic), Colin Mansell (Yellow Medal Accumulator) along with Chris Scott and Peter Smith who won the Pairs Knockout.

The days final award was the John H Williams Award for service to the section which was presented by John himself to Chris Scott, who stepped down this year after several years of organising the extremely popular Summer Seniors Open.

Over 50 members and guests celebrate the 2019 season at the annual Kington Golf Club Senior Section Christmas Cracker on Bradnor Hill.

The course was in magnificent condition despite the deluges of rain during the past month and a high scoring pre-lunch stableford competition was won by Barry Wilson (41 points) who pipped four players on 40.

The seniors have enjoyed a great year with a full programme of Monday morning golf, awaydays and friendly matches.
