A HAT-TRICK from Jean-Luc Alvarez fired Holme Lacy to a fifth win in seven games as they returned to action after almost two months.

The wet weather has resulted in a host of matches across the county being postponed.

However, Lacy returned to action in emphatic style last weekend beating Wellington Reserves 3-0.

Reigning champions Clee Hill are still the side to beat after proving too strong for Hinton in a 4-1 win.

Meanwhile, Ewyas Harold played their first game at the Recreation Ground in two months when they welcomed title hopefuls Malvern Town Reserves.

Sam King, Richard Lynes and Luke Price all found the goal for Harold as they ran out clear winners.

Shobdon have now played just five league games this season.

They ran out 2-0 winners over Fownhope at the Airfield thanks to goals by Jack Brazier and Matthew Watkins.

Meanwhile, a late penalty denied Kington Town a sixth win of the season as they were held 2-2 by Ledbury Town.

Goals by Brian Dyer and Nick Evans had put Kington on course for victory before Josh Tomkins equalised from the penalty spot.

Finally goals from Mark Boucker and Joe Williamson gave Westfields Reserves a 2-0 win over Bartestree.

Elsewhere, Ross Juniors came from three goals down to knock Pegasus Colts Reserves out the HFA Junior Cup in extra-time 6-5.

James Reid was the hat-trick hero for Ross while Mike Donaldson netted a brace and Adam Jewitt scored the other.

They will face Ledbury Town Reserves in the quarter-final in January.
