PREMIER League clubs have been warned that Jarrod Bowen is not for sale, unless there is a substantial offer.

The 22-year-old scored both goals last weekend as his Hull City side came from a goal down to beat Stoke City 2-1.

The brace brings his tally up to 14 league goals this season.

Newcastle United and Norwich City are two clubs linked with Bowen, who has a reportedly £20 million price tag from Hull City.

Hull manager Grant McCann told the Yorkshire Post: “I think the owners have stated he is not for sale unless there is a substantial offer.

“So we will continue to work with Jarrod and he loves it here and loves playing for Hull City.

“If he didn’t, you would not see these performances week-in, week out.”

Bowen started his career as a scholar at Hereford United and made his first team debut aged 16.

After the demise of Hereford United in 2014, Bowen joined Hull City.

Reflecting on his match-winning brace for City on Saturday, Bowen told the club's website: “For my first, the ball just dropped nicely for me on the edge the box. I had a similar effort in the first half which the keeper managed to save but on this occasion I found the bottom corner and it was nice to see it hit the back of the net. It came at an important time for us with it being so soon after the restart.

“The second one was simply a case of taking a gamble from Jackson (Irvine's) header. The keeper made the save but thankfully the ball fell kindly for me – even though I had to improvise to get it under control – and I put it away.

“Obviously I was delighted to get two more goals but the most important thing was the win and producing an immediate response to losing away at Barnsley. That was all that mattered.”
