KINGTON Ladies Hockey Club made it seven wins on the bounce following a 6-0 victory over Bridgend on Saturday.

Captain Rachel Venables once again set the standard for the South Wales League Division One leaders with a hat-trick in the first half leaving the hosts with little chance of a comeback.

Kington remained strong throughout and scored another three goals in the second half with winger Sinny Price scoring a brace on one side and Lauren Soper netting on the other wing.

The ladies were also sporting their new 2019 kit with the generous supper of their new sponsors: Mayglothlings, Rhayder Building Supplies/ Kington Building Supplies, Tarmac and Arrow Mills Garden Centre.

Meanwhile, in the South Wales Premier Two, Presteigne slipped to seventh following a 6-2 defeat at Gowerton.

Hereford Ladies increased their gap at the top of the West Club's Women's North Division despite drawing 2-2 at Yates seconds.

Leominster men's first are flying high in The Verde Recreo Hockey League Conference North and made it eight wins out of 10 games.

Their latest success came with a 1-0 win at Devizes after Nicko Evans scored the winner after being set-up by Josh Watkins.

In the De Cymru & The Marches 1, Ross-on-Wye kept in contact with their promotion rival after a hard earned 1-1 draw at league leaders Cardiff Uni A.

Meanwhile, in Severn Division Two, Ross-on-Wye kept in touch with the leaders following a 2-0 victory over Stroud seconds.
