HEREFORD manager Russell Slade said referee Edward Duckworth made a ‘huge error’ in disallowing a Bulls goal which would have seen them go 2-0 ahead in their 1-1 draw with Farsley Celtic.

Substitute Alex Bray netted in the 81st minute, but Duckworth ruled that striker Reece Styche had impeded play in the process.

“I think the decision is awful,” said Slade.

“It’s a perfectly good goal, everybody in here has seen the footage of it. It’s hard to gasp why he has actually given it.

“I shall have to go in and see him in the next 10 minutes because I don’t think he can go home not knowing he’s made a mistake. He’s made a huge, huge, error and need to learn from it.

“Football kicks you in the teeth sometimes and we performed really well at times today, the game should have been beyond Farsley Celtic in my opinion.

“It shouldn’t have been down to, you can’t describe it as a controversial goal, it was a 100 per cent goal that was taken off us.”
