ROSS Golf Club Captain Martin Pimlow raised £2,390 from his annual Charity Day fundraising event in aid of the Stroke Association Charity. Some 25 teams of four members from all sections of the club were able to support the occasion with prizes for the first four teams finishing at the top of the final results table.

Nigel Evans, Kevin Powell, Colin Gladwyn and Shaun Reynolds with 102 points proved to be the clear winners.

They were followed by two teams carding 99 points each being Martyn Walker, Paul Vitale, Steven Gwilliam, Alastair Watkins and Robert Tuttiett, Alastair Ross, Peter Clift, Simon Sharpe.

Meanwhile, Joe Irvine, Ian Griffiths, Phil Payne and Paran Atwal were in fourth place with 98 points.

Finishing closest to the pin on the three par three holes were Sheila Curtis, Simon Sharpe and Graham White.

The occasion also accommodated an auction of various prizes while a £1,100 contribution was emanated from the Ross Club's two annual seniors opens held in July and August.
