- HEREFORD FC have had their match against Alfreton called off this morning due to a waterlogged pitch.
- A statement on the Hereford FC website said: "This afternoon’s game vs Alfreton has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
- "Over 40mm of rain has fallen across Herefordshire during the past 24 hours, and more heavy rain is forecast until 1pm this afternoon.
- "Despite the best efforts of groundsman Ben Bowen, unfortunately, the pitch is unplayable.
- "We will confirm a new date for the match as soon as possible. Tickets purchased for today’s game will be valid for the rearranged game."
- There are also a host of other matches postponed across the county.
