- After an emotional tribute to Kieran Joyce the Bulls started well with Josh Gowling seeing his free header at the back post blocked.
- Jordan Nicholson was next to test the visitor's goal when a cleverly worked free-kick fell to him, but his effort was blocked.
- At the other end Jordan Nti was causing the Bulls problems but lacked power on his headed attempt.
- Hereford's best chance came after 36 minutes when Tom Owen-Evans' corner found Nicholson whose effort was blocked.
