A TENNIS club in Hereford is celebrating its best ever year with four county champions.

The Hereford Squash Tennis and Racketball Centre are celebrating a successful season with a host of medals and titles won from Herefordshire and Worcestershire LTA Championships.

After six days of competition at in Malvern four players became champions in their age groups.

Harry Emmett was victorious in the under-nine boys category while Kiah Probert won the girls.

Meanwhile another youngster Sofie Glinos clinched the under-10 girls honours.

Hereford Squash Tennis and Racketball Centre club champion Callum Treasurer was also crowned Men’s County Champion.

In total 17 players from the club entered the competition.

They boasted a third place finisher and four semi-finalists as well as Plate winners.

Head coach Andrew Griffiths said: “It’s our best ever year.

"All of the players have worked really hard so this is well deserved."

After dominating the singles titles in the county championships the under-nine team also won the winter and summer club championships.

The Hereford Squash Tennis and Racketball Centre players involved are coached by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) professional coaching team, Tennis Hereford.
