The facility is ran 'for the benefit of the community', allowing various community groups and teams to take advantage of the pitch and clubhouse, these include: Hereford FC Academy, Civil Service FC, the Herefordshire FA for Veteran League games and women’s development games, Phoenix Juniors FC as well as Aspire FC whom have a learning disabilities and train every week at our facility.

The new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by National Lottery players for good causes and is the largest community funder in the UK, will allow United In The Community to offer better facilities to a much wider range of groups.

At the same time, UITC will be able to offer to the community a refurbished clubhouse with kitchen and club room for hire for a more sustainable future.

Lee Symonds, UITC Chairman says: “We’re delighted that The National Lottery Community Fund has recognised our work in this way.

"Now, thanks to National Lottery players we will be able to improve the facilities and what we can offer the community.

"This is important because it will give the community a much need hub and focal point in the Holmer and College areas that has missing since the fire that led to the demolition of the old College Youth Centre.

"This will be the first of a series of improvements UITC intend to progress in our facilities, but as a charity we are always grateful for any support the local community and business can give us.

"We have many opportunities for people to get involved, and various sponsorship platforms for any business wishing to support us and the community."
