HEREFORD and County Athletics Club finished the season with a bang taking 13 event wins in the season finale The Les Davies Trophy match.
Children in age categories under-11s to under-15s finished fourth team on the day with Newport the eventual winners.
The young athletes gained 28 personal bests to round off the season ,while under-15 athlete Charlotte Colbert won all three of her events.
Colbert set a new Welsh Junior League record in Hammer of 45.85m, which had previously been held by ex-Hereford athlete Emma Crooke.
She also recorded a new meeting record in the javelin of 37.18m.
Also in the under-15 age group Leah Ellis took her first ever win in the one kilometre walk claiming a new club record.
The 4x100 m relays provided an exciting end to the day with the under-15 girls taking first place while the under-13 boys took second.
Meanwhile under-11 and under-13 girls finishing fifth.
Other winners on the day were : Esme Benjamin (shot), Matthew Mannion (800mA),Tom Hawkyard (800mB),Tess Morgan (Javelin), Owain Ridgway (75mhB) Cai Rees(800mB),Eva Tyler(100m,200m),Leah Ellis (1k walk),Jamie Stearman(200m,LJ) Matt Brunnock(800m).
The young athletes will now have a short break before the cross country and sports hall season begin in October, in which many of them compete.
