HEREFORD FC have signed 19-year-old Jack Bodenham on loan from Cardiff City until January, subject to international clearence.

The central-defender played 30 games for Welsh Premier side TNS last season and arrives as cover for the injured Martin Riley.

Hereford manager Russell Slade told the club’s official website: “He’s young, but he comes with a bit of experience having played around 30 games for a very successful TNS side in the Welsh league last season.

“Jack played in our behind-closed doors game last weekend, and he’s trained with us this week and he looks really promising.

“He’s highly regarded at Cardiff and we know that he’s capable of doing well for us.”

Bodenham told the club’s website: “I’m a left-sided centre-back, left-footed, I describe myself as a ball-playing centre half, I like to play diagonal balls, but I also think I’ve got a physical presence and hopefully, I can bring all of those attributes to the team.”
