- HEREFORD FC have appointed Russell Slade as their new first team manager.
- Slade has previous experience as a coach and manager experience Cardiff City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient, Yeovil Town and Grimsby Town.
- Slade was named 2013–14 League One Manager of The Year Winner with Leyton Orient
- He was also 2006–07 League One Manager of The Year Winner with Yeovil Town.
- Slade's overall competitive record as a manager is played 843: W309, D232, L301. That's a win ratio of 36.7%.
- The Championship is the highest level Slade has managed at.
- In 2014, he was announced as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's replacement as Cardiff City.
- Two years later in May 2016, Slade was named the Bluebirds' head of football, but resigned the following month.
- After leaving Cardiff, where he'd achieved a 11th and 8th placed finish, Slade joined Charlton Athletic.
- He signed a three-year contract to be manager of Charlton in June 2016 after they were relegated to League One.
- But in November, with the club 15th in the league, the club said it had parted company with him.
- Slade also took Coventry City to the EFL Trophy final in February 2017 during a troubled period at the club.
- Slade was appointed manager of struggling League One side Brighton & Hove Albion in March 2009.
- He ensured the side escaped relegation and Brighton beat Stockport, who the Bulls faced in the National League North last season, 1–0 in the final game of the season.
- Slade, from Workingham, in Berkshire is 58 years old.
