BROCKHAMPTON had their relegation back to the Worcestershire League confirmed after suffering a heavy 191-run defeat at the hands of Bromsgrove.

Last season The Parks side escaped relegation on the final day of the season, but they weren't to repeat the same escape this time.

A century by opener and skipper Jayden Levitt set the tone for visiting Bromsgrove side.

Alex Milton then came to the crease and did the damage with 111 off 101ball as his side raced to 328-3 off their allotted 50 overs, with Adam Hewlett taking two of the wickets.

In reply a second wicket stand of 60 between Oliver Rogoff (36) and Alex Hinkley (32) put up some resistance from the Brockhampton batsmen.

However, once at 76-2 wickets began to tumble on a regular basis eventually falling for 137-10.

Time is also running out for Brockhampton seconds in their Worcestershire County League Division Two relegation battle.

They sit 25 points below third from bottom Halesowen with three games remaining.

Last weekend they suffered a 69-run home defeat at the hands of Enville.

Greg Tomkins (80) and Jonathan Howells (48) both contributed heavily as the visitors raced away to set a target of 239-7 off their 50 overs.

In reply Max Foster made some resistance with a 43-run stand while Max Porter (37) and Alex Lovell (29) also added to the Brockhampton total.

However, the bowling of Leigh Passmore (4-49) and Alex Craven (3-55) would prove too much as Brockhampton fell for 170.
