EMILY Pounder secured a silver medal from this year's National Trampoline Finals while her React Trampoline Club team-mates secured a host of personal bests.

Gymnasts of the Hereford club secured their places at the Ricoh Arena finals through earlier regional qualifying finals and represented themselves and the club against fierce opposition.

Head Coach Richard Crane said: "Our girls were competing against competitive clubs across the country and against older more experienced gymnasts.

"All three held their own in a very difficult competition at a new venue for this year's final."

Achievements were secured for all three React Trampoline Club gymnasts with Anna Preece achieving a personal best position in her first national competition, she is now ranked fifth in the country.

Lily Randall also achieved her personal best execution score in a tricky National Development Plan (NDP) Four routine.

Meanwhile Pounder achieved a silver medal for her NDP 2 routines, again improving on her bronze placement.

She is now ranked second in the country.

Crane added: "Work has already begun in developing the skills required to compete in the next regional qualifiers at a higher level where all three gymnasts are hopeful to achieve the necessary tariff to move forward.

"2020 will be another hard but exciting year for React Trampoline Club in Hereford but we can’t wait to get stuck in.

"We want to say a huge thank you for the support received from MSC in Hereford who kindly sponsored our National Club Clothing and for Mark 1 Clothing in Hereford who provided the printing for free in support.

"If you wish to be a part of this club and want to learn to fly, new classes are now being offered from September."
