YOUNGSTERS Liam Bishop and Connor Davies-Austin have been sent to Mangotsfield United to find first team football.

“We have signed Liam (Bishop) but he needs to play, there is no point him being on our bench or not being in the squad,” said Hereford Head Coach Marc Richards.

“At his age he needs to be playing men’s football so he has played for Mangotsfield United today playing Kidlington away in a friendly.

“Him and Connor Austin-Davies have both gone there to get some minutes and to play regularly. He (Liam Bishop) played for Cirencester the other night.

“It’s ensuring we look after him as we see people like Liam Bishop as the future for this football club.”

When asked if Connor Davies-Austin had also signed, Richards added: “Connor is obviously from the youth team so in terms of the paperwork no but again we will look at him playing men’s football.

“There is no point him being around us today and doing some running after the game. They need to go and play games at whatever level that might be.

“That will help their development more than any coaching we can do. They need to go and play games.”
