AN INAUGURAL 'Legends Cup' match was held in honour of a former Weston-Under-Penyard player who sadly passed away in 2015.
Longhope FC held the match in honour of Wayne Clark.
Clark played for Longhope in the North Gloucestershire and Weston-Under-Penyard in the Herefordshire League
The current Longhope side took on on the Longhope Legends, consisting of a team of ex-Lonnghope players and former team-mates of Clark.
A crowd of over 300 people came to the game which was also a club fundraiser for the coming season.
The game finished 6-1 to the current side but was very competitive.
Music on the day was provided by Sara Jeffery who performed for over three hours.
The Clark family would like to thank everyone who helped make the day special and they commented that Wayne would have loved it.
