ROSS Seniors' Captain Andy Baldwin beat competition from across the region for a home victory in the club's Annual Seniors 60+ Singles Open.
Some 150 golfers took part in the competition represented by 40 different golf clubs.
Eighteen handicapper Baldwin took the spotlight with an impressive 40 stableford points score which could have been more remarkable if he had managed to score points on his final two holes.
James Calleja, from Chipping Sodbury GC, also with 40 points recorded the best visitor's score followed by David Jones (Copt Heath GC) with 39 points.
Other home players to feature and receive prizes were Colin Bennion 38 points, Stephen Bartholomew and Hugh Elliott both with 36 points.
The Stroke Association, the chosen Charity of Ross Club Captain, Martin Pimlow benefited from the fundraising that took place throughout the day and £523 was added to Martin's annual campaign.
The club's annual Seniors Pairs 55+ takes place shortly with 184 entrants on board, the largest contingent to play at the Ross Club in a single day.
The start-sheet was declared a full nine months ago.
