- At the other end Villa responded and a good phase of play resulted in Vassilev having an effort saved down low.
- Hereford came close to a second goal with Jordan Nicholson having the first effort saved before Tom Owen-Evans has two shots blocked through a crowd.
- Moments later Nicholson cut inside before seeing his whipped cross cleared off the line.
