HEREFORD FC are expecting another tough test as they host Aston Villa Under-23s at Edgar Street in their final match of pre-season.
With the opening game of the National League North just a week away it will be the last opportunity for players to improve their match fitness.
The Bulls draw 0-0 to a strong Wolves Under-23 side on Wednesday and will expect a similar test against Villa.
“It’s going to be another tough game but is good preparation for the start of the season," said Hereford assistant coach Will Morford.
“We can get some more minutes into the boys and hopefully be fit and ready to go at the start of the season on Saturday.”
Meanwhile substitute goalkeeper Jahquil Hill could miss the final pre-season match.
Morford added: “He’s really struggling at the moment.
“He keeps thinking he’s better and then he breaks down again. I’m not sure where he’s going to be in terms of fitness but hopefully we’ll get him back soon.”
