HEREFORD assistant coach Will Morford said that defender Ryan Green didn’t look out of place in his testimonial match against Wolves Under-23s tonight.

Green captained the Bulls for his final 45 minutes in a Hereford shirt.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw Morford said: “He didn’t look out of place at all did he.

“He’s got quality and has played just shy of 400 games for the club and has been a great servant for the club.

“He’s a good guy and I thought taking him off after a long diagonal ball from right to left was suitable.

“He has done really well. He has got bags of experience that he has passed down.”

Th Bulls more than matched their opponents with Reece Styche rattling the bar while Mike Symons saw an effort cleared off the line.

Morford added: “I thought it was a good workout on a tough night in hot conditions and they (Wolves) kept the ball well and we were out of possession for a little bit of time.

“But we kept our shape well and we had a few good chances. Overall I’m pleased with the performance and the result and we’ve got into our shape well.

“We did have a couple of chances, but they didn’t go in and hopefully we’re saving them for the start of the season.”
