Hereford FC v Wolves under-23s minute by minute updates

Our live feed has now finished.

  • ROLLING MATCH REPORT
  • The Bulls opening chance fell to Reece Styche after Jordan Nicholson found him in space, but the striker fired wide.
  • Moments later Styche thought he should have been awarded a penalty but the referee waved away his appeals.
  • Martin Riley was next to go close for the Bulls after he rose to head a free-kick just wide.
  • In response Ngolou found Benny Ashley-Seal who had beaten the off-side trap but Brandon Hall just does enough to prevent the striker scoring.
  • Both sides matched each other until five minutes into the second half when Rowan Liburd's shot on the turn was saved by the leg of Andreas Sondergaard.
  • Trialist Jared Hodgkiss almost had his first goal in a Bulls shirt, but shot over after his fellow trialist beat his man before pulling the ball back.
  • Styche came closest to take the lead on the 58th minute when he ran clear before rifling his shot off the bar.
  • Styche had an easier chance to break the deadlock mid-way through the second half after Tom Owen-Evans cut inside and found the marksman on the edge of the box.
  • However, Styche's shot was straight at the goalkeeper.
  • Mike Symons was next to test the charmed life of the Wolves goal and beat the goalkeeper before seeing his shot from a tight angle cleared off the line.
  • Wolves remained a threat and substitute Jed Abbey saw his effort deflected wide with minutes remaining.
  • Ashley-Seal almost had the last say when he ran free inside the box but was denied by an inch-perfect Martin Riley challenge at the last minute.
