- Hereford started brightly and new signing Simeon Maye's cross forced a goal-line clearence.
- Maye was also influential in the 11th minute opener when his corner was fired home by Jordan Cullinane-Liburd.
- Bideford were level with their first chance of the match after 26 minutes when Lewis Walby found the run of Josh Wadham to puts his side level.
- Moments later the hosts could have taken the lead but Bulls goalkeeper Brandon Hall tipped Billy Tucker's free-kick onto the bar.
- On the stroke of half-time approached Martin Riley saw his effort cleared off the goal-line.
- It took just seven minute of the second half to regain the lead when Kieran Thomas finished a good team move.
- Hereford could have been out of sight after 68 minutes when Cullinane-Liburd crossed for Reece Styche who headed down for Rowan Liburd.
- However, the Bulls marksman was denied by a close range save.
- Liburd was denied by goalkeeper Joe Moore once again moments later.
- As Hereford looked to secure the victory Rhys Davies thought he had scored his first goal in a Bulls shirt, but he was flagged off-side.
