FORMER Hereford captain Joel Edwards made his European debut this evening, but his side were on the wrong end of the 1-0 scoreline.
Edwards' Cardiff Metropolitan University side lost 1-0 to FC Progrès Niederkorn in the first leg of their Europa League Preliminary Round match in Luxenbourg.
It's the first time the Archers have qualified for the competition. The second leg will be played in south Wales next Thursday, July 4.
Another Hereford FC player also featured in the game. Jordan Lam came off the bench after making his return to the side.
