MORE than 70 golfers from across the county took part in the Herefordshire Ladies County Championship earlier this month.
Held at Sapey Golf and County Club close to the Worcestershire border, the team prize was one by the host's ladies, Tory Brettell, Janet Higgins, Sue Gwynn and Diane Urquhart with a score of 232.
The net prize was also scooped by Sapey's Sue Gwynn with a 73.
This competition has been running since 1914, with the trophy donated by the Hereford Times.
