HEREFORD FC will face Wolverhampton Wanderers under-23s as a testimonial to defender Ryan Green.

The game will take place on Wednesday, July 24 (7.45pm) and the Hereford FC website says that Green will make a ‘cameo appearance’.

Bulls Chairman, Andrew Graham, told the club's website: “Ryan has been a fantastic servant at Edgar Street, during three different spells playing here.

“He’s always been a crowd favourite and anyone watching him in action knew that he was always giving his all for the Hereford shirt. Not least the attacking players he came up against!

“We are delighted to be hosting this testimonial game for him and we hope supporters turn out in force to show their appreciation. He is, and always will be, a Bulls legend and this match will be a fitting tribute to the contribution he has made to both Hereford United and Hereford FC.”

Green, aged 38, took a break from football to take up a scouting role for Hereford FC last season.

He began his career as a trainee at Wolves and made his senior debut in 1998.
