SOME 300 primary school pupils from 18 schools around the county took part in this year's Ledbury RFC’s Schools Tag Rugby Festival.
Sponsored by Westons Visitors Centre the event saw schools play in pool matches during the morning to decide which of the six pools they would play in during the afternoon.
Each team were playing to win a trophy in the afternoon within their pool.
The overall winners of the festival were Ashperton who progress to the Herefordshire games in July joined by Bosbury and Much Birch Team 1.
The winners of each pool were presented with their trophy by Guy Lawrence representing Westons. The winning teams were: Cup - Ashperton, Plate - Eastnor, Bowl - Madley Team 1, Vase - Brampton Abbotts, Shield - Much Birch Team 2 and Trophy - Madley Team 3.
Event organiser Bruce Allcock said: "We are delighted that so many local schools participate in this festival year after year.
"It was a fantastic day with great rugby played in perfect weather, and the level of skills is increasing year on year.
"We look forward to next year’s festival which will be held on May 22, 2020, but in the meantime we would welcome any newcomers to our Junior Section on sign up day, Sunday, September 1."
