TROPHIES were handed out on the Finals Night of the Hereford Snooker League season when Jed Mann clinched the Open Singles final.

Mann, playing for Military Potters, met and Paul Perkins (Miller Boys) in the final.

Both were losing finalists in the last two years.

Mann won the first frame by 10 points only to see Perkins draw level with a good 42 break to win the second.

Mann won the next with a nice 38 break and in the last frame finished off with a superb 84 break to claim the match and his first title.

Then followed the presentation of trophies to the winners and runners up of the various competitions.

The Division 1 league champions, for the fourth consecutive year, were Miller Boys, with Broms Boys coming runners up.

Miller Boys also finished off a successful season by also winning the Team Knockout competition and, for the third consecutive year, won the Champion of Champions title.

The Division 2 winners were Big Tip Little Tip with Railway A finishing in second place.

While the Plate Team knockout was won by Military Potters.

Perkins had a successful season, not only reaching the Open Singles final, but also winning the Handicap Singles competition for the second consecutive year, and reaching the final of The Pairs and Division 1 singles finals.

The highest break in Division 1 was 120 by Ben Fortey (Miller Boys) and in Division 2 it was 52 by Mike Newman (BTLT).
