  • Stockport had the first sight of goal after four minutes when Darren Stephenson crossed for Adam Thomas who sent his effort just over the bar.
  • At the other end, on his home debut, Rowan Liburd sent a stinging volley just wide.
  • County were having the better of possession and were only denied an opening goal by Tom Owen-Evans' clearance off the line after Nyal Bell flicked a cross goalwards.
