PRESTEIGNE St Andrews are looking for a new first team manager after Shaun Harris resigned from his role.

Harris has been in charge since the summer of 2017 and has worked hard to try to improve the club’s fortunes.

“I have enjoyed my time at Llanandras Park but it would be fair to say it has not been without its frustrations,” said Harris.

“Presteigne is not alone in finding it difficult to get players to be fully committed but I would like to thank those lads who have played under me during my time in charge.

“I would also like to thank the committee and the grounds staff for all the hard work they put in to ensuring the club has the best possible chance of success.

“It has been a frustrating season for everyone but I would stress that it is solely my decision to leave."

Presteigne’s chairman Andrew Crowe said that the club is disappointed that Harris has decided to move on but the committee had accepted his decision with regret.

“It has been a difficult season for everyone and I know that Shaun has found it very frustrating at times,” said Crowe.

“But there were positive signs towards the end of the season with a couple of good results and, as a committee, we were hoping this would provide the foundation for brighter times next season.

“Shaun has worked very hard during his time here - we wish him well for the future and he will always be welcome at Llanandras Park.”

The club plans to advertise for a new manager immediately and anyone interested in the role is asked to contact Andrew Crowe on: 07854 408577
