LUCTONIANS Colts continued to showcase their talent as they booked their place in the quarter-final of the National Under-18 Cup.

They made the long trip down to West Norfolk Rugby Club on Sunday in their latest National Cup tie, eventually running away 32-22 winners.

In a game played a great intensity Lucs started on the front foot with Jed Douthwaite and Frankie Perks crossing the whitewash while Lewis Parkes added the extras with a penalty kick.

Parkes was in good form kicking another penalty before converting a Tom Black try.

Further tries by Sam Bennett and George Sweetman helped their side to complete the victory.

Luctonians will now host Sheffield at Mortimer Park on Sunday, March 31.

Ledbury under-14s will meet Luctonians in the final of the North Midlands Cup on April 28 following a semi-final win over Stourbridge.

The Herefordshire side broke the deadlock after nine minutes when Ed Wallin crossed the line following a period of sustained pressure with Ben Deards converting.

Stourbridge drew back before quick recycling of the ball and a long pass put winger Barnaby Tripp in the clear, who beat three players before giving his side a 14-5 lead at the break.

Sam Hawes crossed for another Ledbury try straight after the break before Wallin scored his second of the match to extend their lead.

Stourbridge did respond only for Curtis Williams to complete the scoring.
