HEREFORD FC have brought in defender Jak Hickman on a one month loan.

The 20-year-old right back is available for tomorrow's trip to Alfreton Town.

Hereford were forced to bring in defensive cover after Jimmy Oates returned to parent club Exeter City while Kieran Thomas is set to serve a two match suspension.

Head of Football Tim Harris told the club's website: “With Jimmy Oates having returned to Exeter, and Keiran Thomas being suspended for the next two games, we clearly needed to bring in some cover in that position.

“We know Jak pretty well as he came along to training with Kyle Finn when we first looked at Finny.

"Myself and Marc also saw him play for Coventry under-23s against Crystal Palace under-23s recently and he did well in that game too.

“As soon as we knew we’d need some cover at right-back we made the move to bring him in and we’re delighted to have him.”

With all the relevant paperwork now complete, Hickman will be available for tomorrow’s trip to Alfreton.
