DEFENDER Harvey Smith has been recalled from his loan spell at Hereford FC by parent club Bristol City.

The 20-year-old who has been on loan at Edgar Street since the start of the season has made 21 appearances during his stint and played several matches as club captain.

However, since the signing of Josh Gowling and a brief spell out with a head injury while playing for Bristol City under-23s the defender has been left out of the side.

“Harvey has been great to have around, and has done a fine job for us,” Head Coach, Marc Richards told the club’s website.

“We’ll be sad to see him go, but good performances from Josh Gowling and Jordan Cullinane-Liburd recently have meant that he’s not been as involved as he was before Christmas.”

“I am sure he has got a bright future ahead of him in the game, and I’d like to thank him for his excellent attitude and efforts whilst with us.”
