A PROVISIONAL list of goalkeeper and defenders have been listed as part of a Hereford United XI side to play in Rob Purdie’s testimonial on May 12.

Goalkeeper Matt Baker, who made over 120 appearances for the Bulls and Wayne ‘Superman’ Brown are due to make an appearance back at Edgar Street.

Meanwhile leading the listed defenders is Tony James, who made almost 300 appearances for The Bulls between 1998-2006 and Matt Clarke.

More recent defenders to make the Hereford United XI side include Sam Gwynne and Ryan Green.

Also listed to take part in the game is Michael Townsend, Simon Travis and Richard Rose with Alex Jeannin still to be confirmed.

Lining up to take on the United legends is former goalkeeper and coach Rhys Evans along with the recently departed Martin Horsell.

Defender Jimmy Oates, is the only player regularly playing at Edgar Street to take part in the Hereford FC XI out of the currently listed goalkeepers and defenders.

Meanwhile youngster Harry Franklin is a Hereford FC player in the squad.

Former Hereford FC players Jamie Willets, Nathan Summers and Jack Deaman have also been listed in the squad.

The Hereford FC side will be captained by local lad Joel Edwards.
