A HOST of county players will make their first appearance in the Jason Leonard Under-20s County Championship this Sunday.
North Midlands Under-20s will field a new-look side when they open against Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire at Bournville’s Avery Fields ground
Only Connor Deignan (Luctonians) has appeared for North Midlands in the competition before.
The rest of the squad were involved in North Midlands’ preparations for this season’s championship which included a training match against Cheshire and an impressive victory over Warwickshire at Bournville last month.
Deignan is joined in the squad by team-mates Rob Bengry, Rob Lester, Owien Harriett-Davies, Henry Powell and Nathan Gaiderman.
Meanwhile after impressing for Hereford Levi Hughes has also earned a spot.
North Midlands will travel to Daventry to play East Midlands in their final pool match on March 17.
NLD beat East Midlands 39-12 in their opening match last week.
