THE Tercentenary Cross Country Run hosted by Lucton School continues to grow with primary school pupils from across the county taking on tough conditions around the school's grounds.
From initially hosting 100 runners the event has now grown to 600 competitors with each race fielding between 60 and 80 runners taking part the 12th annual event.
The races started with the Year 6 girls, won by Marga Gomez (Moor Park) and ran smoothly through to Year 3 – with the addition of our own Year 2s this year who really had fun.
Moor Park also had winners in the Year 6 Boys with Charles Crew and Year 5 Girls with Maggie Williams.
Hosting the event Lucton Prep School took team honours on the day with 15 top 10 finishers.
Lucton's first placement was Hannah Wilson who came second in the Year 6 Girls, Hugo Van der Laak-Gibson came third in the Year 5 Boys, Solange Daker Arop came second in the Year 4 Girls and Elsa Van der Laak-Gibson followed in the footsteps of her brother by coming third in the Year 3 Girls.
