HEREFORD FC forward Mike Symons missed Tuesday night’s visit to York City as a precaution.

The 32-year-old who has been instrumental since his return to the Hereford team missed the game with due to a tight hamstring.

“He has been absolutely superb and we mention this time and time again,” said Hereford Head Coach Marc Richards.

“He was just feeling his hamstring and he still thinks he could have got through 20 or 30 minutes not a problem.

“If I needed to use him but to drag him all the way up here to potentially get back at 3am and then to not have a fresh Mike Symons for Saturday I think it was the right call to just leave him at home.
