HEREFORD FC’s board of directors have given their support to the club’s management ahead of tonight’s away game at Guiseley.

Hereford FC Chairman, Ken Kinnersley, told the club’s official website: “The Board completely understands the frustration our fans felt on Saturday – particularly in the first half – and the concerns they have about our current league position. Every Director is also a committed supporter of this club and we worry as much as our fellow fans about the way the team performs.

“We do, however, also have an understanding of how hard the management team has been working to rebuild the squad and how hard they have the players working on the training pitch.

“We have confidence that things are moving forward and while we would all like the progress to be quicker so we can begin to climb the table, we feel that prior to Saturday there had been plenty of positive signs in our recent unbeaten run in the league at Edgar Street.

“There is no doubt we are in a strong, competitive league and that at times our young players have found the going difficult. However, they have not been found wanting in terms of effort and as we are now seeing some of our injured players return to action, the squad is only getting stronger and more experienced.

“We all know that a lack of goals has been an issue, and I know that Marc and Tim have been working extremely hard to increase the options in the attacking third and to add to the competition in the squad.

“I would like to ask all our supporters to remain fully behind the players and management team and ensure that we are all playing our part in helping the squad move the club up the table.

“You have offered this football club phenomenal support over the past three years and would ask for more of the same as we move towards the end of the season. Your support now is more important than it has ever been.”
