WELLINGTON Reserves have the opportunity to move a step closer to retaining their Herefordshire Premier title with a top-two clash over Clee Hill this weekend.

Welly travel across the county border on a run of 12 wins in all competitions, including a 4-3 win at United in the HFA Charity Bowl.

Last weekend saw Nick Britton net a brace as Wellington ran out 2-1 winners over Ewyas Harold.

Meanwhile Clee Hill recorded a 7-2 home victory over Fownhope with Ben Price and

Cory Hyde scoring for the visitors.

Clee are 14 points behind Wellington coming into the fixture, but have four games in hand.

Westfields Reserves saw their hopes of another top-two finish dented as Kingstone Rovers ran out 5-0 winners.

Matthew Maturi scored a hat-trick while further goals came via Lee Marlow and Ashley Day.

That allowed Ledbury Town to move just three points behind Clee Hill with a narrow 3-2 victory over Hinton following a late penalty.

Joe Bullock picked up a first half brace for the hosts before Hinton drew level and looked to be heading to a well-earned draw.

However, with just three minutes left on the clock Charlie Docherty was brought down and Curt Williams secured the points.

Kington Town moved away from the bottom two with a 6-3 victory at home to Holme Lacy with Rees Morris netting a brace while further goals came from Brian Dyer, Nick Layton, Nick Evans and Sam Goodman.

In Division One runaway leaders Ludlow Town Colts face their local rivals Orleton this weekend.

With Orleton in third a host of teams could capitalise on either side dropping points.

Second place Hinton Reserves suffered a shock 3-0 home defeat last weekend to second from bottom Ledbury Town Reserves.

Sam Branch, Josh Burns and Callum Blackmore-Davey all netted for the visitors.

In Division Two, top four sides Civil Service, Dore Valley, Lads Club Colts and Weobley all won.
